Lesson Rates 3-hour Private Kiteboarding lessons $285You will learn much faster in a private lesson then a group, because your lesson will be tailored to your needs and style of learning and you can safely use a larger kite when under direct supervision of an experienced instructor. If you would like to learn at the same time as your friend and are sharing a ride, we can run two private lessons one after the other. This gives you the best value for your money and the fastest and safest path to your goals. 3-hour Buddy Kiteboarding Lessons $450 total (Two students) Advanced students only In a buddy lesson two friends share one instructor. This works well in the Advanced Kiteboard Series because as the instructor helps one student the other can continue to kiteboard and stay out of trouble for a few minutes; this is not the case with beginners. We strongly recommend that you enjoy the increased safety and faster learning curve of private lessons for the Beginner Kiteboard Series and the Intermediate Kiteboard Series. Classroom instruction with multiple students $150 per hour (up to 3 students). Classroom time is an important part of the learning process. You want to know how this works before you attach yourself to a kite that has the power hurt you. The classroom time will give you an understanding of exactly what you are trying to do and how your actions relate to the power generated by the kite and your safety. In kiteboarding, it's a good idea to learn from the mistakes of others rather then experience the mistakes yourself. (Especially the big mistakes that might be fatal) A note on our rates My rates reflect the cost of providing the best service. I am the most experienced instructor and I provide the highest quality equipment for your lessons. Your lessons will be cost affective because we will spend your time productively. My students gain a higher level of control over the power of the kite, these skills lead to years of safe and enjoyable kiteboarding. I am certified by the Professional Air Sports Association, Registered with the State of Oregon, licensed by the Town of Hood River, permitted by the Port of Hood River, and insured by Lloyds of London. A Note on big groups Big group lessons lead to a big group of frustrated students. Learning to kiteboarding takes more then casual instruction and a few minutes of time with a kite in your hands. With a large group sharing kites and the instructor you will spend very little time with the kite in the air, your time will be mostly spent watching others and learning to get the kite out of the water. Group lessons will double the number of lessons you will need to learn to kiteboard safely and drastically increase the frustrations of the sport. A Note on Cut rate lessons -“Just feel it dude”. Incomplete or poor kiteboarding instruction will lead to a longer learning curve, more frustration, lower chances of staying in the sport, and a grater risk of serious injury to yourself or others. | |
